Tropical Tantrum specializes in the design, production and distribution for one of kind tropical outfits. Our clothing line began in 1986 in a little grass shack in Hanalei, Hawaii. The original idea was hand-painted clothing especially designed for warm weather climates. The original pieces are considered collector items and many customers today bring some of these original art pieces back to show the durability and the creativeness that spun Tropical Tantrum's beginning. Our original store opened in 1986 in Hanapepe, Hawaii on the beautiful Island of Kauai, Hawaii.

Everything in the store was inspired by the brother & sister combo Parker Price and Lorre Bethke. Evenings were creative time painting fabrics, designing styles, and sewing patterns. The paint process is our unique ability to always find the most fun color combinations which basically begun applying the paint by splashing, flashing, stamping spraying, to achieve the desired effects. Both owners soon realize that everything they made they sold and people wanted more. Soon the next store opened in 1988 in Kapaa, Hawaii. Our Kapaa location is our most centrally located store in Kauai. The store was an immediate success and carried all our traditional hand-painted styles. These styles are considered our classic styles today as there guarantee for a comfortable fit and one of kind hand paint garment. Many stores since 1986 have open and Tropical Tantrum still find itself successful providing our customers with a unique one of kind hand-painted garments. We appreciate all our past customers and look forward to many new customers and friendships.
