- To begin your tropical shopping experiences browse the individual categories by either clicking directly on a particular style or choosing a specific category. The individual categories allow you to view the various styles available in that grouping. Once you select a particular style this will bring you into more details and pricing information. Our uniqueness with our website begins once you have selected one of our beautiful hand-paint styles. The individual style sections allow the user to select and view any style in the fabric you choose. To view any style in any fabric simple "click" the desire fabric and the model will automatically change into the selected fabric. Once you have chosen your style(s) and fabric you'll have the option to choose the matching accessories. Simply "click" the desire accessories and Tropical Tantrum will guarantee the accessories exclusively compliment your selection(s). At any time you can view the content of your shopping cart by "clicking" basket contents. Within basket content you have the ability to review the selected items prior to checkout or removing any items you may have inadvertently entered. A sizing chart is conveniently located beneath the individual images for a particular style.
- You may continue shopping and ali as many items as you desire to your shopping bag. If you make a mistake, you can always make changes or delete the items before confirming your order.
- Checkout once you have selected the various items. The checkout procedure is driven by Miva Merchant Services, which is an industry standard for secure Internet transactions. - There are three payment methods currently available. If using a Gift Certificate enter the code that was issued with the electronic Gift Certificate. The available balance will automatically be applied to your purchase. If there is still a remaining balance Tropical Tantrum will automatically send a corresponding email with the balance available for future purchases. Afterwards you'll have the option to select the shipping method and credit card information. Once these are selected please "click" continue for further payment information. If the Gift Certificate is less than the amount owed the system will automatically apply the entire amount towards the purchase and the balance will need the following credit card information found below.
- A summary of your ship to: and bill to: information will appear along with the individual items selected for purchase. Below enter the credit card information the same way it appears on your card. First Name, Last Name, Credit Number and Expiration Date will be required to continue the transaction. Select continue to process your order.
- Tropical Tantrum will automatically send you an e-mail within a few minutes of placing your order, the e-mail will contain an order number for tracking purposes, and an itemized statement of the items purchased. This email confirms that your order was received, the credit card was verified, and your order is being processed.
- Your credit card is only authorized and the funds will not be captured until the product is shipped. Debit cards are handled differently for different bank. The funds may be reserved which in some instances the individual banks may not make those funds available.

- How to return an Item:
- If you need to return an item or items AND want to re-order the same item or items in a different size or color, we will offer you FREE SHIPPING on your replacement order. Tropical Tantrum will begin production immediately for the replacement items to ensure a prompt delivery. E-mail reorder@tropicaltantrum.com with your instructions and Tropical Tantrum will reply with an authorization and mailing information. Please include a copy of these instructions with your package and this will guarantee a timely exchange of merchandise. The customer assumes responsible for the shipping charges back to Tropical Tantrum.
Send your return to us and include any information exchanged via e-mail. This will expedite the process and ensure a prompt credit towards your account.
- Credit Card Refunds
- On returns, we can only credit the credit card used for the original purchase. All credits will be applied minus the shipping and handling fee not to exceed the amount you have been charged.
- Damaged Merchandise
- It is implicit that all merchandise is returned without damages. Damaged merchandise will be the responsibility of the customer. Tropical Tantrum will make every effort to return the merchandise back to the customer with an explanation of the return.
- Restocking Fee
- Tropical Tantrum reserves the right to charge a 10% restocking fee for merchandise held for an extended period of time. If the customer is not satisfied with the merchandise our return/exchange policy is in effect. However the customer must return the items within 10 business days from the date of receipt.

Sales tax is only collected in states where we have a physical presence. Our physical presence is the state of Hawaii and all transaction within the state of Hawaii will be taxed within the guideline of the taxing authority. The tax rate for the State of Hawaii is 4.166%.
Sizing Information
Tropical Tantrum wants to ensure you get the perfect fit. Each style provides a link to a sizing chart for that particular style. Most sizing will be universal but our basis cut dresses provide a more flattering fit which in some instances you'll need, a slightly larger size. - Tropical Tantrum's ultimate online shopping experience wants to provide you with all the flexibilities available in our retail stores, online. Our mix and match sizes will provide you with the flexibility of ordering and receiving the mix size collection. We conveniently matched our most popular styles together. However these styles also match in size. The following instruction will allow for mix sizes. Once you place your order you'll automatically get an order confirmation for tracking purposes. Please reply to this e-mail with order instruction to change the sizing for either the top or bottom. Online specialists will modified the order and re-send your confirmation with the correct sizing information. No additional fees are charges.

- Custom alterations are always available at Tropical Tantrum. Given we manufacture everything to order allows us the ability to make alteration at no additional cost. - How do I determine my Measurements?
- Nothing feels better than trying on a new outfit and it fits perfectly and you look fantastic. In order to assist you, we want to help you determine your sizing. Using a cloth tape measure you'll want to be fully erected with your feet a comfortable distance apart. The four measurements that will help us to determine your size are your height, bust, hips and waist.
Height will determine the length of the outfit. People smaller in stature normally need things shorten. People taller in stature will need length added. We at Tropical Tantrum want to accommodate you and here is the information that will help draw our conclusion. The most important measurement will be from you shoulders to your just above your ankle. With that measurement you'll be able to make a perfect fit in length in any of our tropical collections. Bust measurement is the upper circumference around your upper torso. Place the tape measure around your back and ensuring the tape is always properly aligned. Ensure you place the tape measure in the largest portion of the breast and upper back torso.Waist Measurement is the middle circumference using your belly button for alignment. Place the tape measure around the lower portion of your torso and ensure the tape measure is properly aligned. Tape measure should be loose fitting for the desired fit. Hip Measurement is the lower circumference around the buttock. Place tape measure around broadest area and allow ¼" loose fitting to ensure the perfect fit.

Tropical Tantrum delivery is 2-4 weeks as we hand-paint the fabrics and tailor everything to your specifications. Sooner delivery is possible with the wide selection of styles and fabrics available at our retail locations in Hawaii. On many occasions our clients are ordering for a tropical wedding party, special event or a vacation destination. In order to ensure a timely delivery please e-mail us at order@tropicaltantrum.com with your desired delivery date and we'll make certain of timely delivery. Alterative shipping methods are available which are Express Mail and Factory direct, drop shipping to your vacation destination, and store pick-up is also available.
Shipping Option:
- Standard Shipping and Handling
- Tropical Tantrum's standard delivery is 2-4 weeks and the cost for our standard delivery is $12.50. The package is beautifully wrapped and the shipping method used is United States Postal Service Priority Mail. Normal delivery from Hawaii is 2-4 business days.
- Express
- Our Express delivery service guarantees the delivery from Kauai, Hawaii to your destination in two business days. The shipping and handling fee is $25.00 and Tropical Tantrum will provide you with tracking information once the package has been assigned to the postal service. All packages can be tracked at www.usps.com. This method is perfect for the customer who requires the package on a specific date and has the necessary time for production but needs a guarantee delivery for a special occasion. If the desired date is not met Tropical Tantrum will refund the shipping cost.
- UPS Factory Direct
- Our UPS Factory Direct option provides our customers with the ability to receive their beautiful tropical attire in an expedited manner directly from our factory. The fee is $50.00 and this will ensure the customer will receive their beautiful tropical selections with a guarantee delivery date. The fee provides you with expedited service, which you'll be given precedence to ensure a timely delivery.
Washing Instructions
Tropical Tantrum is famous for our beautiful color combinations and quality fabrics. Our color combinations are unique and many satisfied customers will attest to the durability and craftsmanship of our long lasting fabrics. Our beautiful hand-painted fabrics are of one of a kind and the method to paint the fabric is known as a process called batik. The batik process is very involved and many steps are taken to complete the process correctly. The process begins with our selection of the finest quality of rayon to ensure the hand-painted process.
- A Brief History of Batik
- Although experts disagree as to the precise origins of batik, samples of dye resistance patterns on cloth can be traced back 1,500 years ago to Egypt and the Middle East. Samples have also been found in Turkey, India, China, Japan and West Africa from past centuries. Although in these countries people were using the technique of dye resisting decoration, within the textile realm, none have developed batik to its present day art form as the highly developed intricate batik found on in Indonesia.
- Selection and Preparation of the Cloth
- Natural materials such as cotton, silk, and rayon are used for the cloth, so that it can absorb the wax that is applied in the dye resisting process. The fabrics must be of a high thread count (densely woven). It is important that cloth of high quality have this high thread count so that the intricate design qualities of batik can be maintained
